There are similar conversations going on in a few of my networks.

Toffler, the author of "Future Shock", speaks to this re-establishment of a feudal system. He lays out the story of a corporate feudal system where a person cannot get ahead or even do business unless the individual is associated or working for a corporation. The corporations will marshal their forces, employees, customers and associates to compete, i.e. "do battle" with other corporations for dominance.

I agree that Net Neutrality is an important issue that is purposely ignored by some people and organizations.

Off the cuff, here are the available bookmarks on Toffler from Diigo. http://www.diigo.com/search?what=Toffler Two are mine. The Glass Bee might be more related to this article.

These should get you started. If you haven't read his books, I would recommend that you do. I would start with "Future Shock". The future he describes is not all "peaches and cream".

IMHO, Toffler and his wife have made an excellent living making sure that people see to it that his vision of the future comes to pass. He reminds me of Ayn Rand in that manner. He is a fantastic self-promoter.
