Is there a way to switch highlights/sticky notes from being private (or shared to a private group) to being public easily? I couldn't quite figure out how, without making the group so that anyone could join. See my response in the "Why would teachers use Diigo?" discussion (thanks for inviting me, btw).

    Thanks!

If a highlight hasn't been followed with a sticky note, then yes, you can convert to public highlight.

However, unfortunately we don't support converting a private sticky note to public one. To support it, it will trigger a lot of potential issues, and the backend logic implementation will be complex. We think it's not quite worth our trouble while there are many other much higher priority tasks at hand. So, the only workaround now is copy, delete and make a public comment. Sorry.

Great comment. Would you like to invite other educators into the conversation? I think V3 is shaping out to be a very versatile and powerful platform to facilitate, engage, and inspire all kind of interesting and thought-provoking idea exchanges.... Exactly what we want it :-)
