If you don't mind getting science bookmarks, please let me know. I don't want to send someone a bookmark that might be boring, scary or just downright gross....as last night when I bookmarked an important online text about human parasites called the WormBook.

If you don't mind sorting through it all and/or are interested in Science, let me add you to my "Science In All Its Forms" contact list. I appreciate all your help and bookmarks, and I don't want to send stuff you can't use or don't want;D

Thanks! You can add me. I work in a primary school but also in a University, so all kind of links can be useful at any time.
You can also search in my tags: biología, química, ecología, animales, astronomía, NASA, and some others...

I have added you to my "Science in All Its Forms" contact list, and I will check out the other tags you have given me. Good idea! I still forget that people from all over the world are working here, and they probably use their own language. duh, heehee! Need to open my awareness more!

OK! That's cool! I bet you will enjoy teaching social studies;D That is why I wanted to make a contact list, so everyone would not have a cluster of unnecessary bookmarks;D

Sounds great, send them along. I don't always look at everything that comes my way, but I appreciate having new bookmarks to potential add to my resources. Thanks for asking.

    Sheryl,

Using this DMS system to initiate / confirm people who may have a common interest in a subject is a good idea.

Once you solidify the interest, then perhaps a good time to form a group (public open to all, or moderated public (need your approval), or invitation-only), so all group members can help to contribute good resources and build up the collection systemically! If the group resource is good, let us know - we'd love to feature it.

I think you can view contact list as ad-hoc "group" that is useful for sharing & engaging others in some specific info. But, one should be sensitive not to overdo this and create an "information overload" for others. For a systematic depository of info, group is the way to go! Not only you can gather bookmarks there, there is also a great group forum that allow people to discuss various topics of interest within the group.

For anyone who wish not to participate in a particular conversation, simply click "Leave this conversation". For those who prefer to not get distracted by the message alert (#) on the toolbar, they can also easily disable by going to "diigo >> options >> un-check the message button. there are also options in your profile setting on how to set your email notification / group notification preference... (As I write more, I think I should write a blog post about various ways of sharing in Diigo :-)

If you or anyone have exceeded their 5 public group limit and need more (anti-spam measure), just let us know. We will be happy to assist / increase your group count.

Cannot wait to see some great collections of resources that may be helpful for other educators take shape here :-) Thanks for everyone's active contribution

Some of you may teach both science and math like I do. I thought you might find this resource to be useful. It is the result of a recent presentation at NECC in San Antonio.

    HI Sheryl

I only teach maths so I'll decline your offer. However, I will bear it in mind when in touch with colleagues who teach science.
