Joyce,
There's a great list of webapps here; would ROCK on Nobis or any computer. As long as you have fast Internet, they're pretty reliable, and you don't need to install anything.
TamiQuotes:
- Simple Spark, a directory for web applications, has over 9,900 web apps listed. Besides looking there, check out the list of links to the right. These are web applications I've recently bookmarked. Click here to see my complete list.
Chris,
Do you use Twitter? This looks like it might have classroom potential for math.

Joyce,
Do you have anyone who does a unit on Egypt? This could be really cool!
In Escape from the Mummy’s Tomb! your elementary students must recover Egyptian artifacts from inside a pyramid. As the title of the game has no doubt alerted you, you’ll have to wrest these artifacts from an undead mummy’s cold, dead, bandaged fingers.

Joyce,
Check out the ones I highlighted - pretty good. Excellent blog to follow (when you actually have time).

TamiQuotes:
- A 1992 study done
amongst 310 children aged 8 and 12 used muscle testing and
balance testing to determine if using a yoga ball chair throughout the
school year would have a positive effect.
- They conclude that prolonged
sitting on a dynamic, unstable seat surface does not significantly
affect the magnitudes of muscle activation, spine posture, spine loads
or overall spine stability.
- A study using children
with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder found that using a an
exercise ball chair (or yoga ball chair) resulted in better in seat
behaviour and improved
productivity of legible writing
